Born in Belfast in 1947, she studied at the Ulster College of Art and at Leeds University.
Between 1971-1975 she worked as an administrative and research assistant at the National Gallery, London.
Solo exhibitions include the Caldwell Gallery, Dublin (1982); Taylor Galleries, Dublin (1989, 91, 93); Butler Gallery, Kilkenny Castle (1996); Ayesha Castle, Co. Dublin (1997) and Cavanacor Gallery, Co. Donegal (2001). Two person exhibitions were held in 1975, 1977 and 2001.
She won the Claremorris Open Exhibition in 1990, as well as numerous bursaries and awards from the Arts Councils of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Her work is held in many major public collections in Ireland including The University of Limerick, Allied Irish Banks, Department of the Environment, Northern Ireland and Aer Rianta.
Private collections, which contain her work extend to Ireland, England, Scotland, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the USA. Since 1977 she has been living and working in Dublin.
