Patricia Jorgensen is a botanical painter and textile designer who specialises in the watercolour painting of plants and gardens. She also undertakes commissions for the design of tapestries, rugs and carpets.
Patricia's botanical work is widely collected. It is characterised by the creative expression of each plant's personality, sensitive use of colour, and drawing.
Her textile work is commissioned by corporations, developers, private businesses and domestic clients. She has designed several international exhibition pieces for V'Soske Joyce, the carpet manufacturer, who also make up many of her commissioned rugs and wall hangings.
Clients include the Harcourt Developments, Jefferson Smurfit Group, Irish Life and Smith Klyne Beecham; and private collectors in Ireland, France, Spain and USA.
She is a guest lecturer at the National Gallery of Ireland speaking on subjects relating to watercolour painting and textiles.
Patricia runs weekend courses in watercolour painting from her Dublin studio home.
