Born in 1960, Maxwell sketched and painted from an early age. He qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1985 and worked in London for some years. Later he went on to travel the world pursuing adventure and exploring new avenues - studying philosophy in Rome, organising charity affairs in Mexico and Venezuela. He has travelled Europe, visited Africa and Colombia.
Maxwell is a self- taught artist and his paintings are a tribute to the creativity within us all and are a vivid expression of hope and the human spirit. He has exhibited in Cambridge Fine Arts and the Oriel Gallery. Maxwell's artwork is on exhibition at Dalkey Arts Gallery, Dalkey, Co. Dublin.
