Dalkey Arts Gallery Presents: Stephen Vaughan & Killian Schurmann A Two Man Exhibition Thursday March 26th 2009 Please join us for the opening reception for Stephen Vaughan and Killian Schurmann, on Thursday March 26th at 7pm in Dalkey Arts Gallery, located at 19 Railway Road, Dalkey. This show will exhibit new works by both artists. Stephen Vaughan continues to explore the constant rivalry between mankind and the environments that he chooses to inhabit and control. The prints are in a unique style exclusive to him, using heavy texture to represent the real texture of life and the natural world. You can see and even feel the consistency of the ink that has been applied to the paper on each print. Killian Schurmann works in an unusual medium of fused glass. The pieces can be free standing, wall mounted, or hung in a window. Often mistaken for stained glass, the coloured pieces of glass are actually fused together in a kiln. The merging colours give a semi translucent appearance that lets light through if hung in a window or lit from the rear of the piece. All works are available to purchase and can be viewed prior to the exhibition on our website at www.dalkeyarts.com. The exhibition will run from Thursday 26th of March until Saturday 11th of April and is
free to the public. For further information please contact Jenny or Eveline in Dalkey Arts Gallery on |
