Please join us for the opening reception of new paintings and drawings by Sahoko K. Blake, on Thursday 9th October at 7pm in Dalkey Arts Gallery, located at 19 Railway Road, Dalkey.
In this exhibition, Sahoko has taken her inspiration from the prehistoric "Bog Bodies" & the landscape locations in which these remarkable finds were made.
In her drawings she skillfully portrays with a rich tonality the humanity of these bodies, which have lain pressed in the peat and undisturbed for thousands of years.
Her paintings give a sense of the locations where the finds were made, and also to what is perhaps the last of these once great bogs in Western Europe.
All works are available to purchase and can be viewed prior to the exhibition on our website at www.dalkeyarts.com.
The exhibition will run from Thursday 9th of October until Saturday the 25th and is free to the public.
