Dalkey Arts Gallery Presents:
"Irish Italian Parallels" By Naomi Peppard Friday 5 September 2008 7 - 9pm Exhibition to be opened by Paolo Tullio In Dalkey Arts Gallery, 19 Railway Road, Dalkey, Co. Dublin Please join us for the opening reception for Naomi Peppard, on Friday 5 September at 7pm in Dalkey Arts Gallery, located at 19 Railway Road, Dalkey. This recent collection of Naomi Peppard's work is in her classic style of soft watercolours and detailed oils. Peppard works on site and then does her final touches from her studio to capture those wispy clouds in the stunning blue sky and give that attention to detail she is known for. 'Like two parallel roads connecting in places, this exhibition gives glimpses of places that inspired me in Italy but also the equally inspiring subjects of my native south Dublin and Wicklow'. Born in Dublin in 1970, a versatile artist, she began painting at an early age. Her work was greatly inspired by her late father Louis Peppard, architect and artist. As well as exhibiting in Solo and Group shows throughout Ireland, she has had a significant number of commissions from both private and public bodies including the Office of Public Works in conjuction with artist and historian Peter Pearson at Dublin Castle. All works are available to purchase and can be viewed prior to the exhibition on our website at www.dalkeyarts.com. The exhibition will run from Thursday 4th of September until Saturday 20th September and is free to the public. Gallery opening hours: Monday through Saturday: 10am-6pm. Sunday 2pm-6pm.
